About the Journal

MediCo Life Science Journal is an international, monthly, double-blind peer-reviewed open access journal publishing original research across clinical medicine, biomedical and life sciences, public health, pharmacology, nursing and medical education.

We give particular priority to work from low- and middle-income settings that changes practice: pragmatic trials, diagnostic accuracy studies, implementation research and high-quality observational work.

Every submission is screened for scope, ethics approval, reporting-guideline compliance and similarity index (iThenticate, threshold 18%) before assignment.

Manuscripts passing screening are reviewed double-blind by a minimum of two independent referees, with a statistical reviewer added for all trials and multivariable analyses. Median time to first decision is 18 days.

All articles are published immediately under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal a licence to publish.

Full texts are deposited with PubMed Central and registered with Crossref; each article receives a permanent DOI.

The journal follows COPE core practices and the ICMJE recommendations. Trials must be prospectively registered; conflicts of interest and funding must be declared for every author.

Allegations of misconduct are investigated by the ethics committee, and corrections, expressions of concern or retractions are issued transparently with a linked notice.

Local authors: PKR 35,000 per accepted article. International authors: USD 250. Editorials, invited reviews and letters are published free of charge.

Full or partial waivers are available on request for authors from Research4Life Group A countries and for trainee first authors.
